WiG Diversity Awards 2025 – Honouring Excellence in iGaming Inclusion

Acknowledging and celebrating the excellent work done by women in the gaming scene is more important than ever and with the 2025 Women in Gaming (WIG) Diversity Awards just around the corner, things look like they’ll go up a notch yet again.

The finalists have now been announced ahead of the June 5th event, held at London’s iconic Savoy Hotel, with a number of worthy causes also being supported. Organised by the innovative Clever Duck Media, these awards will see 49 shortlisted companies compete for a chance to see their leading women receive the recognition each of them deserves.

Celebrating Gaming Diversity in Style

With sponsors including Betsson, Digitain, Playtech, Arrise, Pronet Gaming, Relax Gaming, Greentube, IGT, Gamomat, Soft2Bet, and Light & Wonder, plus many others, the 2025 Women in Gaming (WIG) Diversity Awards looks set to be the biggest so far, with a clear emphasis being placed on the importance of diversity and inclusivity within the gaming community.

Lana Thompson, the much-celebrated co-founder of the Women in Gaming (WIG) Diversity Awards back in 2010, has this to say about the upcoming event:

“Every year the process of deciding on the finalists gets harder and harder, our judging panel said they had the most challenging time deciding on those who made the final list.”

With the 2024 Women in Gaming (WIG) Diversity Awards selling out more than three weeks before the grand event, it’s fair to say that this latest edition will be in even greater demand than before, especially with the spotlight that has been shone on women in the gaming space.

The Importance of Diversity in Gaming

Since being launched back in 2010, the Women in Gaming (WIG) Diversity Awards have helped shine a light on the importance of recognising the achievements of women within the gaming industry, quickly establishing itself as one of the most respected events on the calendar.

These awards are aimed at celebrating those who have demonstrated a clear effort to improve equality, diversity and inclusion within the gaming community. With categories including ‘Diverse and Inclusive Team’ and ‘Positive Role Model’, there are opportunities for both organisations and individuals to throw their names into the ring for a chance to win.

This upcoming edition of the Women in Gaming (WIG) Diversity Awards will also see one lucky winner receive the ‘Industry Pride of the Year’ award, which will be picked from the finalists of the seven key categories as the finest example of a woman who has helped inspire more women to pursue a career in the iGaming industry.
