Betsson Expands in Italy and Mexico

Swedish online gambling giant Betsson Group has strengthened its international expansion plans with more launches in both Italy and Mexico.

This online gambling operator has now gone on to launch its online sports betting and iGaming operations in Mexico under its brand.

Betsson had piloted its Mexican operations earlier this month and will now elevate its efforts by launching more commercial activities as well as boosting its presence ahead of the World Cup, which is due to take place in November.

The Mexican operations will now be run by Betsson’s Latam hub, which is based in Bogota, Colombia.

Jesper Svensson, the Chief Executive Officer for Betsson Operations stated: “We continue to deliver on our geographically diversified growth strategy and see great potential ahead in the Latin American markets in general and in Mexico in particular, given the size of its economy and population.

I am particularly excited about the upcoming football World Cup during the seasonally very busy fourth quarter and am confident that Mexican customers will enjoy Betsson’s market-leading product offering”.

Betsson is also pushing its operations and presence in Italy by unveiling a new sports betting brand StarCasino Bet.

This latest venture has been created out of Betsson’s already existing online gaming-only site StarCasino brand. Betsson added that this new launch would allow it to grow its current brand’s positioning and help it engage further with its players
